KEY INFORMATION FOR YOUR PRELIMINARY CHECK
REGISTRATION WITH THE NETWORK OPERATOR
Our partner will submit your charging station to your local utility provider for approval; this process may take up to 2 months. All data will be processed in accordance with data protection regulations.
METER CABINET
Contains all technical components; complies with the grid operator’s technical connection requirements or VDE-ARN-4100 standards; can be upgraded during updates.
SURGE PROTECTION DEVICE (SPD)
Mandatory for new installations; also recommended for existing ones; prevents damage caused by power surges.
MAIN HOUSE CONNECTION BOX (HAK)
The point of transfer from the utility’s distribution network into the house; connection to the power grid; main fuses.
SELECTIVE CIRCUIT BREAKER (SLS)
Required by VDEAR-N 4100; cuts off the power supply in the event of a short circuit or overload; selected by professionals.
RESIDUAL CURRENT DEVICE (RCD)
Protects people; mandatory for every charging point; must be capable of detecting both AC and DC residual currents. Selection depends on the wallbox.
ELECTRICITY METER
Records electricity consumption for billing by the utility provider.
CIRCUIT BREAKER (MCB)
Protects against short circuits and overload currents; selected by professionals.
Wallbox
Power connection for electric vehicles.
MAIN POTENTIAL EQUALIZATION
Connects conductive objects to the building’s ground for electrical protection.
