With FIRMENLADEN, charging at Tesla fast chargers is now also possible for all electric vehicles. As usual, you can easily find charging points via the FIRMENLADEN app, check availability, and view prices.
There are two ways to charge a vehicle at a Tesla charger:
- With the FIRMENLADEN charging card
- With the FIRMENLADEN app
Important note:
The FIRMENLADEN charging card can only be used at new Tesla Superchargers with an integrated card reader.
Older Tesla Superchargers do not have a card reader. There, the charging process can only be started via the app
Charging with the card
(only at new Tesla chargers)
1 Connect the vehicle to the Tesla charger
It may take as long as 30 seconds for the connection between the Tesla Supercharger and the vehicle to be established. Please be patient until the card request appears on the screen.
2 Hold the FIRMENLADEN charging card in front of the card reader
Hold the FIRMENLADEN store card directly against the glass at the card reader. If the card is not recognized immediately:
- Move the card gently back and forth
- Hold it very close to the glass
Once the card is recognized, the charging process starts automatically.
Charging via the FIRMENLADEN app
1 Download the app

FIf you have not set up the app yet: follow the instructions
2 Search for location
Find your current location using the app’s location function or search function.
3 Select Tesla charging point
In the map view, select the desired Tesla charging point.
4 Select charging station
Then select the appropriate charging station.
5 Start charging process
6 Plug in the charging cable only after the charging process has started
Special feature at Tesla charging stations
Tesla does not use standard serial numbers or EVSE IDs at individual charging points as displayed in the FIRMENLADEN app.
Instead, each Tesla station is labeled with its own identifier (usually a number or a combination of a letter and number).
Select the specific numbering of the Tesla charging station in the Tesla app.
Important Exception
Please note that there are a small number of Tesla charging locations where only Tesla vehicles can charge.
